David Kerr
A Colorado native, David Kerr has 45-plus years of leadership and senior-management experience in successful small, medium and large for-profit and nonprofit business organizations.
David earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver.
David’s first job out of college was as General Manager of a family-owned Ford Dealership in Denver. The dealership was sold to an investor group in 1982. David then joined a family-owned vehicle fleet leasing and management company as President. This company became the largest regional fleet leasing and management company in the country. In 1984 the company was sold to GE Capital. David remained as president and enjoyed a 10-year involvement with his family and GE Capital.
Since that time David has served as the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of a large Christian ministry (nonprofit) operating in four states and served as Chief Operating Officer of Wings Over The Rockies Air & Space Museum. He was also Executive Director of Caring Connection, an independent, community-based nonprofit organization and federation that engaged public and private employers, employees and nonprofit organizations to serve vulnerable populations within the Denver community through workplace giving campaigns.
David and his wife Sherri have lived in unincorporated Douglas County for 23 years. Sherri is a marketing and communication professional and has owned and operated Cahoots Communications, serving faith-based and other nonprofits, since 1995. Prior to that she was the CEO of Heintz-Barton Advertising.
Dave and Sherri have two grown children (twins David and Katharine) both living in the Denver area.
